Chapter Philanthropy & Service
The Delta Theta Chapter is invested in contributing to the world's work in the Moscow community. Each semester, Alpha Gamma Delta hosts a philanthropic event raising money for the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, and fighting hunger. The Delta Theta chapter has been a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta's Jewel Society for the past nine consecutive years. This award indicates that each year we have raised over $2,000 for our cause.
In Spring, we host Mr. Idaho during the University of Idaho's annual Mom's Weekend. During the Mr. Idaho event fraternity members from our Greek community participate in a male beauty pageant which includes swimwear, talent, and formal rounds. This is one of the most popular philanthropic events on campus. In 2018 we raised over $4,000 at this event!
In fall 2018, we hosted a delicious mac & cheese philanthropy event on Halloween night called "Trick or Cheese?" It was a great success and we had fun at the same time!
Outside of raising money for our cause, our members also love to donate their time to our community. Members are held to a high standard for giving back to the community. We require all members to complete 6 hours of community service to make sure that we are giving our best back!
This every Spring, we participate in Alpha Gamma Delta's Week of Service. During this week all Alpha Gam sisters across North America are serving their communities. This year, our sisters volunteered at our campus food pantry, read to children in our local elementary schools, decorated over 100 Valentine's Day cards for local seniors, and volunteered at the community recycling center.
